Huairasinchi AR World Series 2011
This race promotes the protection and respect for nature and it holds a "leave no trace" policy during the race together with a conservation message.

- Huairasinchi adventure race was created in the year 2003 with its first edition, as an initiative of a group of young people who were looking for a new way of getting to discover and show their country to the world.
- Huairasinchi, which means "the strength of the wind", in the ancestral Kichwa language, is more than an adventure race, it is a life style that allows racers to reach unimaginable goals, exceed their limits both physical and mental, and accomplish their dreams.
- This adventure race includes several sports like: mountain biking, trail running or trekking, paddling, fixed ropes and orienteering in 4 people coed teams, as well as only men teams.

Throughout Ecuador's breathtaking scenery, Huairasinchi combines fractions of all of its mega diverse regions including, magnificent snow caped volcanoes in the Andes, the warm tropical basin of the Pacific Ocean, and the mysteries of the Amazon jungle plateaus.
